Crossbar Challenge · Android · Last updated: 24 August 2026
This policy explains what Crossbar Challenge (the “Game”,
package com.yassin.crossbarchallenge) does and does not do with
your information. It covers the Android version distributed through Google
Play.
The Game is made and published by Yassin Mohamed Mahmoud (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at yassinmohamedmahmoud9@gmail.com.
There is no account, no login and no registration, and we never learn who you are. Your progress is saved on your own device and never leaves it. Two Google services inside the Game do collect some information: Google AdMob, which shows the advertisements, and Google Firebase Analytics, which tells us how far players get in the game. Neither is given your name, your email or any way for us to identify you. Everything below is the detail.
None directly. We operate no servers and we have no database. We never receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files or precise location, and the Game never asks you for any of them.
What we do receive are the two Google dashboards described below, which show us totals and averages — how many people played, how far they got, how many advertisements were shown — and never an individual person.
The Game saves one number on your device: the highest level you have unlocked. It is written to the Game’s own private storage area, it is not readable by other apps, and it is not transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the Game deletes it. There is no cloud save and no backup.
The Game uses Google Firebase Analytics to tell us whether the game is working: how many people open it, and which levels they reach or get stuck on. That is the only reason it is there, and it is what lets us fix a level that turns out to be unfairly hard.
The Game sends exactly three kinds of event, and each carries at most two numbers:
| Event | What it carries |
|---|---|
level_start | the level number |
level_complete | the level number, and how many attempts it took |
ad_shown | nothing |
Firebase itself adds, automatically and on its own: an app instance identifier (a random id belonging to this installation, not to you — it is regenerated if you clear the app's data or reinstall), the app version, the device model, the operating system version, the country estimated from the IP address, and session timing.
What is never sent: your name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, precise location, contacts, or anything you typed. The Game collects none of those in the first place, so there is nothing of the kind to send.
Google's handling of Firebase Analytics data is governed by the Firebase privacy documentation and the Google Privacy Policy. Analytics data is retained for a limited period set in our Firebase project and then deleted automatically.
You can stop analytics collection for every app on your device by turning off Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or by denying the Game network access.
The Game shows a full-screen advertisement after every twelfth level you complete. Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, which is operated by Google. To do that, the Google Mobile Ads SDK included in the Game may collect and process:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Identifiers — your device’s advertising ID (a resettable identifier Android provides for this purpose) and its App Set ID | To select advertisements, limit how often the same one is shown, and measure whether an advertisement worked |
| Approximate location — estimated from your IP address. Not GPS: the Game requests no location permission and cannot read your precise position | To select advertisements appropriate to your country and region, and to apply the correct regional privacy rules |
| App activity — that the Game was launched, and whether an advertisement was viewed, closed or tapped | Measurement, frequency limiting and payment |
| App information and performance — device model, operating system version, language, and diagnostic information about how the advertising components performed | To serve advertisements the device can display, and to detect fraudulent or invalid traffic |
Google states that this information is encrypted in transit using TLS.
This information goes to Google, not to us. We receive only aggregate earnings figures, which contain no information about any individual. Google’s handling of it is governed by:
The Game is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). In Google Play it is not enrolled in the Designed for Families programme and its target audience is not set to include children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at the address above — although, as set out above, we hold no information to remove.
The Game requests no permissions of its own. Two are added automatically by the components it includes:
android.permission.INTERNET and
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — required to
fetch advertisements. The Game itself is fully playable offline.com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — required by
the Google Mobile Ads SDK to read the advertising ID described above. The Game does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, or any other sensitive permission.
We hold no records that identify you, so there is no account to close and no personal file to delete. Concretely:
